What is Prompt improver?
We often type a quick sentence to the AI, like “write a post about my coffee shop”, and get a generic answer back. This improver turns that sentence into a complete, well-organized prompt.
It detects the type of task, reorganizes what you had already written and adds the missing parts. Details only you know are marked as gaps in square brackets, so you can fill them in and get a much more precise answer.
How to use it
- Paste or type your original prompt.
- Check the quality score before and after, and the detected task type.
- Review the checklist to see which sections were already there and which were added.
- Fill in the [square bracket] gaps directly in the improved prompt.
- Copy the result or save it to your library.
Advantages
- Structures the prompt into seven sections: role, context, task, steps, format, constraints and example.
- Quality score from 0 to 100, before and after.
- Detects the task type (code, image, marketing, text, analysis or general) and adapts its suggestions.
- Editable result you can save to your library.
Technical details
The improver is rule-based and does not send your prompt to any AI model. It first analyzes the text and scores it by weighting the presence of role, context, task, steps, output format, constraints and example, with bonus points for specifying audience, tone or length and a penalty if it is very short; a section containing only a gap to fill counts as half. It then assigns each original sentence to the matching section and generates a Markdown prompt with one heading per section. Missing sections are filled with content adapted to the inferred type (for example, specific steps and format for code or marketing) and baseline constraints such as not making up data and asking when information is missing; when a detail depends on you, a [square bracket] placeholder is inserted. The checklist shows for each section whether it was already present, was added or still needs completing.
Frequently asked questions
How can I improve a ChatGPT prompt?
Paste your prompt into the improver. It returns a version with role, context, steps, format and constraints. Fill in the gaps in square brackets and use it.
What should a good prompt include?
A role for the AI, context, the specific task, the steps to follow, the response format, the constraints and, if possible, an example.
What do the gaps in square brackets mean?
They're details only you know, such as your audience or the tone you want. Filling them in is what improves the AI's answer the most.
Does it work with Claude, Gemini or other AIs?
Yes. The structure it generates works with any language model.
