Test data generator

Names, Spanish IDs, emails and more as CSV or JSON

No database: AIMRAN doesn't store your files, text or results

What is Test data generator?

This tool creates made-up but realistic data for testing apps, forms, databases or spreadsheets without using real people's information.

Choose the columns you want, such as name, email, phone or DNI (Spanish ID number), how many rows you need and the format, then download the file ready to import. All the data looks Spanish.

How to use it

  1. Turn on the fields you need: ID, name, email, phone, DNI, city, date, number, UUID or boolean.
  2. Set the number and date ranges and the +34 prefix if you use it.
  3. Enter the number of rows (up to 10,000).
  4. Choose CSV (comma or semicolon) or JSON.
  5. Check the preview and click Download or Copy.

Advantages

Technical details

Values are generated with cryptographic randomness (crypto.getRandomValues) and a uniform distribution. DNI numbers are 8 random digits with the letter calculated by the official modulo 23 algorithm, so they pass any format validation even though they don't belong to anyone. Emails combine first and last names with example domains (example.com, example.org, example.net and example.es). Phone numbers are Spanish mobiles starting with 6 or 7, formatted as 612 345 678 with an optional +34 prefix. Dates are generated in ISO 8601 format (YYYY-MM-DD) within the chosen range, and UUIDs are version 4 (crypto.randomUUID). CSV downloads as UTF-8 with BOM and JSON as an array of objects with 2-space indentation.

Frequently asked questions

Are the generated DNI numbers real?

No. They're random numbers with a valid check letter, so they pass format validation but don't belong to anyone.

What is test data used for?

To populate databases, test forms, run demos or teach spreadsheets without using real personal data.

How many rows can I generate?

Up to 10,000 rows per download.

How do I open the CSV in Excel without the columns getting mixed up?

Choose the semicolon delimiter: Excel with a Spanish locale opens it split into columns and with accents displayed correctly.

Can I generate data in JSON?

Yes. Choose JSON and you'll get an array of objects with one field per enabled column.
