Merge videos
Join several clips into one

What is Merge videos?
This tool joins several videos one after another to create a single file: for example, the clips from a trip, the parts of a split recording or several takes of the same event.
You add the videos, put them in order by dragging and click merge. If they all come from the same phone or camera with the same settings, merging is instant; if not, the tool adapts them so they fit together.
How to use it
- Drag two or more videos into the upload area.
- Put them in order by dragging each clip into position.
- Remove any you don't want or add more.
- Check the total length and the method shown, and click Merge.
- Download the final video.
Advantages
- Instant, lossless merging if the clips share format, codecs and resolution.
- If they differ, they are matched to the first clip's resolution, with bars when needed.
- Clips without sound are padded with silence so the audio does not drift out of sync.
- Sortable list with thumbnails and the length of each clip.
Technical details
If all the clips have the same extension, video codec, resolution, pixel format, rounded fps and the same audio parameters (codec, sample rate and channels), ffmpeg's concat demuxer is used with -c copy, without re-encoding. Otherwise a filter_complex is built that scales each clip to the first one's resolution (force_original_aspect_ratio=decrease and black pad), sets SAR 1:1, unifies the fps (maximum 60) and yuv420p; the audio is resampled to 48 kHz stereo and clips without audio get silence generated with anullsrc. Then everything is concatenated and encoded to MP4 with H.264 (CRF 21) and AAC at 160 kb/s. Limit of 500 MB per file.
Frequently asked questions
How do I combine several videos into one?
Upload the videos, put them in the order you want by dragging and click Merge. A single file will be downloaded.
Can I merge videos of different sizes or formats?
Yes. They are adapted to the first clip's resolution, adding bars if the aspect ratio differs, and re-encoded to MP4.
Do the videos lose quality when merged?
Not if they all share the same format and resolution: they are joined without re-encoding. If they need matching, they are re-encoded at good quality.
How many videos can I merge?
You need at least two. There is no fixed maximum, but each file can be up to 500 MB and many long clips will take longer.
