No database: AIMRAN doesn't store your files, text or results

What is Word to HTML or text?

This tool turns a Word document into other easy-to-reuse formats: HTML to publish it on a website, plain text to paste it anywhere, or Markdown for blogs, documentation or notes.

Add your .docx and you instantly get a preview with headings, lists, tables and images. Switch tabs to see each format, then copy or download it.

How to use it

  1. Drag your .docx document onto the drop zone.
  2. Check the preview of the converted document.
  3. Choose the HTML, Text or Markdown tab.
  4. Copy the result or download it as .html, .txt or .md (or .zip if there are images).

Advantages

Technical details

Conversion uses mammoth.js, which reads the structure of the Office Open XML (.docx) document and translates it into semantic HTML based on styles (Heading 1 to h1, lists, tables, bold, links) instead of copying the visual formatting. Images are embedded in the HTML as data URIs. The HTML is sanitized before it is displayed. Plain text comes from mammoth's raw text extraction, and Markdown is generated from the HTML, with images extracted as separate files. Only .docx is supported: Word 97-2003 .doc files must first be saved as .docx, and password-protected files cannot be opened. 50 MB limit.
