What is Watermark?

This tool places your signature on a video so people know it is yours: it can be text, such as your name or website, or your logo image.

You choose where to put it from nine positions, how big it should be and how transparent you want it. You see the result on a frame before processing.

How to use it

  1. Upload the video.
  2. Choose Text or Logo or image.
  3. Type the text and adjust size, color, bold and background, or upload your logo and adjust its width.
  4. Choose the position, margin and opacity in the preview.
  5. Click Add watermark and download the MP4.

Technical details

The watermark is first rendered as a transparent PNG at the video's final pixel size: text with a height of 2 to 20% of the video height; the logo with a width of 5 to 60% of the width. It is then overlaid with ffmpeg's overlay filter, applying the opacity via colorchannelmixer on the alpha channel and calculating the position with expressions relative to W and H plus a margin of 0 to 15% of the short side. Output is MP4 with H.264 (libx264, CRF 21, yuv420p) and AAC at 160 kb/s. Text can be up to 120 characters. Limit of 500 MB per video.

Frequently asked questions

How do I put my logo on a video?

Upload the video, choose Logo or image, upload your logo (ideally a PNG with a transparent background), adjust width, position and opacity, and click Add watermark.

Can I add a text watermark?

Yes. Type the text and choose size, color, bold and, if you like, a dark background so it is easier to read.

How do I make the watermark semi-transparent?

Lower the opacity control. Between 40 and 70% usually looks subtle but visible.

Which logo format works best?

PNG or SVG with a transparent background. JPG and WEBP are also accepted, but a JPG's background will show.
