What is Convert format?

Sometimes an image comes in a format your software can't open or a website won't accept: iPhone HEIC photos, a TIFF from a scanner, a Photoshop PSD or a WEBP downloaded from the internet. This converter changes the format of your images in seconds.

You can convert to JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, JPEG XL, GIF, BMP, ICO, TIFF, TGA, QOI, PPM/PGM, SVG or PDF, choose the quality and the background colour for transparency, and convert many images at once.

How to use it

Inputs: JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, GIF (first frame), BMP, ICO/CUR, SVG, HEIC/HEIF, TIFF (8/16-bit, LZW, ZIP, first page), JPEG XL, PSD/PSB (flattened image), TGA, QOI and PNM/PPM/PGM/PBM/PAM, detected by their signature rather than only by extension. Outputs: JPEG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF and JPEG XL (WebAssembly encoders when the browser lacks them; at 100 % quality WEBP, AVIF and JXL are saved lossless), GIF, 24- or 32-bit BMP, ICO with sizes from 16 to 256 px, TIFF, TGA, QOI, PPM/PGM, SVG with the image embedded and PDF with one page per image or combined. Formats without an alpha channel fill transparency with the chosen colour. Limit: 100 MB and 100 megapixels per image. HEIC can be opened but not created.

How do I convert HEIC to JPG?

Drag in the HEIC photos, choose JPG and click “Convert”. You can convert many at once and download them as a ZIP.

Can I convert PSD or TIFF to PNG?

Yes. A PSD is converted from its flattened image (all layers) and a TIFF from its first page.

Does AVIF work in Safari?

Yes. If the browser can't create AVIF, WEBP or JPEG XL, a built-in encoder is used, so the result is the same in any browser.

How do I make an ICO for my website?

Choose ICO and tick the sizes you want (16 to 256 px). They're all saved in a single .ico file.

Can I create a HEIC file?

No. HEIC can be opened and converted to any other format, but not created, because its encoder isn't available on the web.
